What a week! I feel like the first day of school was yesterday, and I am in shock that a month has already passed us by...you know what they say...time flies when you're having fun!
This month we have had some serious milestones:
- We had our first major Math Test. The kids scored amazingly high! We worked really hard. Over the next few weeks we will be studying concepts of measurement (area, perimeter, circumfrance). Tests will go home on Monday to be signed and returned.
2. We completed our first Word Study assignment. We have some work to do when writing our creative writing stories...we must use our spelling words properly in the story. In doing this we not only meet the curriculum, but we also build our vocabulary.
3. We had our first student led workout in gym. Alyssa, Abby and Chloe led us in an excruciatingly painful dance work out, and Gianni, Amadeo and Renil led us in an equally painful soccer workout. We are working hard on improving our fitness levels.
4. We had a lot of laughs, science experiments, dramatic presentations, 3 Part Math lessons, Critical analysis work in Literacy, and fun over the last month.
