This Week in Grade 7/8

We had so much fun this week!  Halloween festivities did not disappoint...and the kids had a blast packaging and distributing candy grams, and receiving them as well!  We raised over $300 for "Camp Bromball" which is a charity that works to send kids to camp that can't otherwise afford it.  We had fun playing Zombie Volleyball, and decorating the gym for the dance!

The seniors had fun at their Halloween Dance, but I think we teachers had even more fun! The DJs put together a fun playlist, and all those in costumes and not whirled around the dance floor for the afternoon.  We whipped, we naynayed, we YMCA'd, and of course, the fan favourite...we chicken danced!

This week coming up we have:
Tuesday:  Anne Frank Presentation 10-11 at the Chrysler Theatre.
Wednesday:  Girls volleyball at Holy Names in the AM.
Next Monday, November 9th:  The Ropes Field Trip.

Math:  We continue to study integers and transformations.
Literacy:  Writing our spooky stories, analyzing poetry and short stories.
Science:  Grade 8s begin their unit on cells, grade 7s begin geography with Mr. St. Louis.
Phys-Ed:  Volleyball continues
Religion:  We will be studying the 10 Commandments.
Art:  Haunted Houses will finish this week.
